Privacy Policy
Effective and last updated September 13, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how KB Stores LLC, doing business as The Double Scoop (“The Double Scoop,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you visit thedoublescoop.com and pages that link to this Policy (the “Site”).
1. Our role
The Double Scoop is an advertising-supported publisher. We provide general educational content and links to offers from independent third parties. We are not a bank, lender, loan broker, insurance company, insurance producer, credit-repair organization, financial adviser, or provider of the products advertised on the Site.
We do not currently collect loan applications, Social Security numbers, dates of birth, driver’s-license information, bank information, or mobile-number verification codes on the Site. If you click an offer and continue to a partner’s website, that partner—not The Double Scoop—collects and processes the information you submit under its own privacy policy and consent terms.
2. Information we may collect
Depending on how you use the Site and which measurement tools are enabled, we may collect:
- Information you provide: your name, email address, and the contents of messages you send us.
- Car-loan check responses: on certain pages, we collect your answers about your car loan and what you would like to change. Please do not include personal or account details. We use these answers to assess traffic quality and improve our pages; we do not pass your written answer to the offer partner when you continue.
- Device and internet information: IP address, browser and device type, operating system, language, approximate location derived from IP address, and advertising or device identifiers.
- Usage information: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referring and exit pages, timestamps, session activity, and interactions with advertisements or partner links.
- Marketing and attribution information: campaign identifiers, ad source, conversion events, and information used to measure whether advertising led to a visit or referral.
- Inferences: general interests or likely preferences inferred from Site activity for analytics, content selection, or advertising.
3. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
We may use cookies, web beacons, pixels, tags, scripts, local storage, and similar technologies for Site operation, analytics, fraud prevention, advertising measurement, attribution, and retargeting. These tools may be provided by companies such as Google, Meta, TikTok, Cloudflare, and our affiliate or advertising partners. Those providers may collect information directly from your browser and may combine it with information they receive elsewhere, subject to their own policies.
You can limit cookies through your browser settings. Blocking some technologies may affect Site functionality. Where required by applicable law, we will provide or honor additional consent and opt-out mechanisms, including legally recognized browser-based preference signals when applicable.
4. How we use information
- Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site.
- Understand audience activity and measure Site and advertising performance.
- Attribute referrals and administer affiliate relationships.
- Personalize content and advertising where permitted.
- Respond to messages, enforce our terms, prevent fraud, and comply with law.
5. How we disclose information
We may disclose information to hosting, analytics, security, advertising, attribution, and other service providers; affiliate networks and offer partners; professional advisers; government authorities when legally required; and parties involved in a merger, financing, sale, reorganization, or transfer of all or part of our business. We may also disclose aggregated or deidentified information that cannot reasonably identify you.
Some state privacy laws may define certain advertising-related disclosures through cookies or pixels as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for “targeted advertising,” even when no money is exchanged for your personal information. Where those laws apply, you may request to opt out as described below.
6. Affiliate links and third-party sites
We may receive compensation when you click or use an offer on the Site. That financial relationship may influence which offers appear and where they are placed. A third party’s products, eligibility requirements, rates, terms, communications practices, data collection, and security are controlled by that third party. We are not responsible for third-party sites or practices. Review the partner’s privacy policy and consent language before submitting information.
7. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute-resolution needs. Retention periods vary by information type and business purpose. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage system is completely secure.
8. Your privacy choices and rights
Depending on your state of residence and subject to legal exceptions, you may have the right to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or a portable copy of personal information; to learn about categories of information collected or disclosed; and to opt out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling.
To submit a privacy request or advertising opt-out request, email hello@thedoublescoop.com with the subject “Privacy Request.” Tell us your state of residence and the right you wish to exercise. We may need to verify your request. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights. If we deny a request and your state provides an appeal right, you may appeal by replying to our decision.
Because we generally do not maintain user accounts or directly collect application information, we may be unable to identify information about you beyond limited device, analytics, or correspondence data. Requests about information submitted on a partner’s site must be directed to that partner.
9. Children
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy periodically. The “last updated” date identifies the latest version. Material changes will be posted on this page and, when required, communicated through additional notice.
